The University of Maine at Presque Isle volleyball program has announced the addition of Alexis Alden (Piedmont, Missouri / Clearwater High School) to the Owls roster.

Alden joins the program following a successful high school career at Clearwater High School, where she competed as a libero and defensive specialist. Known for her awareness and consistency on the court, Alden developed into a key defensive contributor throughout her varsity career.

During her senior season, Alden recorded 155 digs, averaging 5.2 digs per match, along with 8 assists. She also contributed offensively with 60 kills, 60 aces, and 60 blocks during her career. A four-year varsity letter winner, Alden earned Academic All-State honors in 2022.

"I am excited I get to go to the University of Maine," said Alden. "I am excited I get the opportunity to play volleyball."

Clearwater coach Laney Tucker praised Alden's commitment to improvement and approach to the game.

"Alexis is always determined to grow and learn," said Tucker.
