PRESQUE ISLE, ME
The University of Maine at Presque Isle volleyball program has announced the addition of Baylee Fields (Princeton, Maine / Woodland Jr./Sr. High School) to the Owls roster.
A versatile outside and right-side hitter, Fields joins the program following a strong career at Woodland Jr./Sr. High School. Throughout her career, she established herself as a dependable all-around player and offensive contributor for the Dragons.
Fields finished her high school career with 159 kills, 154 aces, and 228 digs, showcasing her impact both offensively and defensively. Her performance earned her recognition as a two-time DAC All-Star.
"I'm excited to step onto the court in a new role, learning the game from a new perspective," said Fields. "Joining UMPI is something I'm very excited to be a part of."
Woodland coach Alyssa Monk reflected on Fields' growth and leadership throughout her career.
"Four years ago we just started our journey together," said Monk. "Her heart, work ethic, and love for the game sets her apart. She gave everything to this program, and watching her grow as a player and as a person has been one of the greatest honors of my coaching career. College is gaining not just a talented athlete, but a leader who never backs down from any challenge. I couldn't be more proud to have coached her and can't wait to see what she does next."
Fields plans to major in Psychology at UMPI.
