UMPI Head Golf Coach Mike Boone announced that he's added another golfer to his 2026 roster, as the program looks to make the next leap in the North Atlantic Conference for 2026. Jaxson Sockbeson, a current senior at John Bapst Memorial High School intends to play for Boone next fall.

Sockbeson, a resident of Indian Island, Maine, comes off a successful high school career at John Bapst where won PVC All First-Team honors his Sophomore, Junior, and Senior seasons. Sockbeson is a 3.4 registered handicap and has potential to be one of UMPI's top scorers right away.

"I'm excited about pursuing what I love at UMPI," Sockbeson said. He will study in UMPI's Exercise Science program starting this fall.
