Lynn, Mass --  Fisher College starter Victor Mendez shutout the Maine-Presque Isle baseball team in game one of a four game weekend series, leading the Falcons to a 5-0 victory Saturday.

Presque Isle centerfielder Josiah Brazier had a big day, collecting three hits and freshman Isaiah Straubel added two singles for the Owls. 

For the Falcons, Mendez didn't walk a batter while scattering 7 hits and struck out 10 Owls in his seven innings of work.    

Owls starter Dylan Worster, pitched well, but had a tough third inning giving up three singles, a couple of stolen bases, a walk and a hit batter.  The damage allowed 3 runs to cross the plate and the Owls could never mount a comeback.  Worster went the distance for Presque Isle.

GAME TWO:  Fisher College 5  Maine-Presque Isle 2            

In game two, Owls pitchers Ryan Thompson and Lucas Molloy pitched well but allowed the big inning to squash the chances of a Presque Isle victory.

Thompson started the game and allowed 3 earned runs in his four innings of work.  Molloy relieved and worked the final two innings, only giving up one hit. 

The Falcons used a leadoff single in the bottom of the third to start their big inning, after a pinch runner was inserted and stole two bases, an RBI single from Adam Lucey plated the games' first run.  Two additional singles and an Owl infield error led to the Falcons having a 3-0 lead.

Tommy Collins scored the first run for the Owl in the fifth inning.  Collins singled and scored on Andrew Bartletts single to right. 

The Owls had life in the seventh inning, loading the bases with one out, down 5-1.  Cam Morrell walked to force in a run for the Owls, but two Presque Isle strike outs would end the rally and the game with the Falcons winning 5-2.
