Gracelyn Walsh had arguably the best all-around weekend of anyone in the conference throughout the Owls' first four conference games played. She set the tone both in the circle and in the box for UMPI. In the circle, Walsh was masterful, throwing 14 innings of the Owls' 22 total played throughout the weekend. She didn't allow a single run, tossed a no-hitter in a run-ruled shortened game that included 11 strikeouts of the 15 batters she faced, then threw another five inning shutout the next day, before coming in relief to get the win throughout four innings pitched and 7 strikeouts. All-in-all pitching wise she earned 3 wins, throwing 14.0 IP, allowing just five hits, 0 runs, 4 walks, and struck out 23 batters.
With the bat, she was just as impressive, going 8-14 on the weekend, having exactly two hits in every single game, and extending her hitting streak to nine games. She had the game winning, three-run home run in the Owls' 8-4 win over Johnson as well. Her weekend stat-line hitting was 8-14 (.571), one double, one home run, and eight RBI.
