Matheson was the standout performer for the Owls in their opening weekend, leading the team in scoring both days as they went 1-1 on the weekend with a decisive victory over Fisher College on Saturday. Matheson had 12 points to lead UMPI in a loss on Friday night, making two threes, before more than doubling that total on Saturday with a 25 point performance. She had three more threes, and went 9 for 15 from the field overall, while grabbing four rebounds and a couple of steals during her 29 minutes of play.
