Evelyn Elijah was the top performer for UMPI Women's Track and Field in their opening weekend of meets. On Friday at Gordon College, she paced the Owls in the throwing events, finishing 10th in discus, while on Saturday at American International College, She finished 9th in the discus throw, topping her previous day's mark with a throw of 27.23 meters. She also finished 11th in shot put with a 9.45m mark.
