University of Maine at Presque Isle

Mia Gutierrez was a huge reason why UMPI Women's Volleyball swept the University of Maine at Fort Kent, and started off their season 2-0. Gutierrez was tabbed as one of UMPI's "players to watch" in the North Atlantic Conference this year and she delivered right away, leading the Owls in Kills with 18 across both matches for an average of 2.25 kills per set. Gutierrez was also huge on the defensive side of things, coming up with 34 digs, second on the team to only defensive specialist and libero Maubi Mateo. Gutierrez shows she is poised for another successful year on the court, as the team rallied around her for the perfect start to their 2025 season!
