Kamryn Clavette was a big standout player for the UMPI Women's soccer team in their two games last week. As the Owls striker, Clavette was able to capitalize on some opportunities in a couple of big spots. She scored her first goal of her career, and the team's first of the season on Wednesday 9/10 in their 1-1 draw with UMaine Augusta off an assist from Camryn Ala and a perfectly timed strike as UMA's keeper came out.. Clavette put the Owls on top 1-0 for their first goal--and lead of the year. This goal would hold and prevent a loss as UMA tied the game late. At FIsher College, Clavette cashed in yet again, this time with UMPI trailing 3-0. Off a free kick from teammate Michaela Carney, Clavette snuck behind the defense and got a pretty one-touch, again as the keeper came out. This kept the Owls in the game, though they'd ultimately fall 3-1.
