Jonah Baude was the Owls top arm during their successful 3-1 weekend to open their year. Beginning on Saturday, Baude threw a complete game to give the Owls their first opening game win since 1997. He allowed one earned run on seven hits and fanned three hitters. On zero days rest, Baude became the hero for the Owls, coming in and pitching three innings of relief. He surrendered two earned runs on six hits, to help the Owls gut out a crazy 16-14 win. All-in-all he pitched 10 innings in two days with a 2.70 ERA, and walked zero batters the entire time to help to a 1.30 WHIP.
