Box Score (WATERVILLE, ME) --- Diana Manduca had a game-high 15 points and 6'2 Rachael Mack showed her outside shooting form with a 4-for-4 effort from 3-point range as the Colby College women's basketball team took a 70-33 non-conference win over University of Maine-Presque Isle on Tuesday night at Wadsworth Gymnasium.
Colby moves to 11-2 overall, while the Owls fall to 5-10.
UMPI came out of the gates with a strong defensive effort and held the Mules to only 10 points in the first 8 minutes of play. A Rashell Saucier (So. / Washburn, ME) lay up with 10:42 on the clock pulled the Owls to within 15-9. Colby then pulled away with a 23-8 run to finish the half.
Saucier finished with 13 points, eight rebounds, and two steals for UMPI. Renee Moore (So./Lisbon, ME) added eight points.
The Owls return home on Sunday January 22nd to face SUNY-Canton. UMPI defeated the Roos back on January 9th, 58-56. Gametime is 12:00pm.
