Hector Perez was UMPI's hero in their historic weekend split of Thomas College. In the Owls' first win on Sunday, he went 3-4 at the plate with two stolen bases and an RBI. In their second win of the weekend on Monday, he went 2-4 with two RBI and a run scored, while he showed a flare for the dramatic, delivering a walk-off single in the bottom of the 10th, to give the Owls the win and the historic series split. Perez finished the weekend batting 6-15 (.400), with three RBI and four stolen bases.
