PRESQUE ISLE, ME
The University of Maine at Presque Isle Men's soccer team finished the bulk of their home schedule on Saturday when they hosted the Thomas College Terriers.
The game was a physical one out the gate with the Terriers opened up the scoring early with a goal in the 5th minute, and seemed to have all the momentum. The Owls hung tough however, and played much better soccer the rest of the first half, keeping them at bay. In the second half, Thomas broke through again in the 56th minute and then tacked on another in the 74th minute to solidify the victory.
The Owls had a decent amount of opportunities and their offense played well enough to earn a goal but couldn't seem to net one. Nyden Reed had 2 shots, both on goal while Isaac Doore and Jovian Barret also had a pair of shots.
The Owls fall to 2-6 overall and 0-4 in NAC East play. They will look to regroup at Husson this Tuesday evening.
