LEXINGTON MA,
The University of Maine at Presque Isle Men's Soccer team took to the road for a weekend slate of games. First up would be a NAC East opponent, Lesley University. The Owls tough schedule continued with the Lynx as they faced another lopsided shot total like they did vs. Husson earlier in the week.
The Lynx fired 26 shots to the Owls 4 and got out to an early lead scoring in the 3
rd minute. Another goal in the 33
rd minute made it 2-0, before the Owls cut the lead to 2-1 in the second half. Less than a minute after that goal however, the Lynx added another one to make it 3-1. They would tack on one more in the 74th minute to ice the game, winning 4-1.
The Owls' goal came from
Jovain Barrett, the first of his career, with the assist coming from
Isaac Doore—his first point of the year.
Samuel Paladino was again a busy man as the Owls keeper. He faced a total of 26 shots, 13 of which were on goal. He finished the day with 9 saves.
The Owls drop to 1-4 on the season and 0-3 in NAC East play. They will look to bounce back tomorrow as they travel to Vermont to face Vermont State University-Lyndon, another NAC opponent. Kickoff at 1pm.
