FARMINGTON, ME
The UMPI Women's team took to the floor for the second time in as many days, this time taking on the Cadets of Norwich University for two schools' first meeting in five years.
How it Happened:
UMPI fell behind by double digits in the first after Norwich exploded out the gate with 27 first quarter points. They'd outscore UMPI by seven, four, and four the final three quarters and cruise to a 93-64 victory.
The Owls shot 30.5% from the field on the day and made seven three-pointers for a 39% clip. They lost the rebound battle 18-38, as Norwich dominated the inside game.
Top Performers:
The Owls were led by Jovanna Oliva who had 18 points which was a single-game high in her collegiate career. Oliva had three rebounds and three steals to go along with her solid scoring performance. In right behind her was her Eastern Nazarene transfer counterpart Anaira Ayala who had 14. Alexis Ireland had 12 points as well.

The Owls fall to 0-4, and will have time to regroup as they'll have nine days off until their next contest, the home opener vs. Bowdoin College on November 25th.
