Owls Fall to Eagles in NAC Match Up

PRESQUE ISLE, ME – The Owls women's basketball team falls to top ranked Husson University. The Owls now sit 5-3 in the North Atlantic Conference and 11-7 on the year after today's 70-49 loss to the 10-1.

The Eagles found themselves up early with a seven point lead at the end of the first quarter. Continuing to boost their lead to end the first half, as they led 34-21. As they shot just under 50% from the field in the first half. The Owls came out of halftime with a spark as they took the third quarter win, although the comeback was not enough.

Emily Wheaton and Alexis Ireland each finished the game with ten points, while Ireland added 11 rebounds to her stat line. Chantel Williams finished the game with seven points.

The Owls will continue their NAC play with a game vs Maine Maritime Academy on Thursday.
