Owls Men's Cross Country Compete at Runnin' Monks Invitational

STANDISH, ME – The UMPI Owls men's cross country team traveled downstate to compete in the annual Runnin' Monks Invitational, hosted by the Saint Joseph's College Monks. The UMF Beavers would earn the team win on the day scoring a team total of 24, while Thomas College would bring in the meet winner, Jarrod Hooper with a time of 27:47.3.

Dylan Marrero would be the first Owls runner to complete the 8K race, finishing in 10th place with a time of 29:15.9 with 5:54 splits. Stephen Grierson was not far behind, finishing in 16th place with a time of 30:21.8 with 6:07 splits. Westley Dyer then followed with a time of 30:35.9 with a 19th place finish. Ezra Leach then rounded out the Owls finisher with a time of 34:24.5.

The Owls will head back down state next weekend to compete in Bowdoin College's second Invitational of the year in Brunswick, Maine.
