Box Score Presque Isle used double-digit scoring from a trio of Owls to defeat Maine-Machias, 58-38, Thursday evening at Wieden Gymnasium.
Sophomore Sydney Churchill had a game-high 14 points, Rebecca Campbell secured her 14th consecutive double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds and Katie Patenaude had a career-high 10 points, including 3-for-4 from beyond the arc to take the victory.
Nine of the ten Owls scored in the game and USCAA national assists leader Darby Toth handed out 7 assist. The Owls continued their strong and deliberate ball handling, turning the ball over only 9 times for the game. The Owls currently rank #2 nationally in NCAA Division III in fewest turnovers per game, trailing only national power DePauw University.
Alicen Brooks led the Clippers with 12 points and Ami Carver added 10.
The Owls will next play UMFK at 7pm on Saturday.
