BRUNSWICK, ME
The Owl harriers were back in action after a two-week break at the State of Maine Intercollegiate Meet hosted by Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. Thirteen different teams and a total of 153 runners competed in the race.
Men:
Seven runners competed on the men's side this time for UMPI and for the second straight meet, the Owls were led by Westley Dyer in the Men's 8K. Dyer finished in 101st place with a time of 31:21.4 for a mile pace of 6:18.4. Dyer was supported second by Isiah Mitchell who again finished second for UMPI and 114th place total. Mitchell posted a time of 33:29.3, a couple minutes behind Dyer. A minute behind Isiah Mitchell, was Aspen Mitchell who finished at 34:32.8.
Kieran Everett and Hector Perez finished in 122nd and 126th respectively while Potter Raymond (134th) and David Gustin (137th) rounded out the charge for the UMPI Men.
Women:
Milaya Buchanan finished in 99th place in the Women's 6K. Buchanan finished with a total time of 30:32.6 and a mile split of 8:11.5. Pandora Kimball finished her first collegiate race with a time of 43:31.
Next Up: The Owls will next race in two weeks on Saturday, October 4th at the NAC Championship preview hosted by Husson University.
