The University of Maine at Presque Isle's men's soccer team has added five new players to their 2025 roster. The five new additions to the team come from all across the United States and are as follows: Tylr Brown from Port Saint Lucie, Florida; Danny Argueta from Las Vegas, Nevada; Jake Beaulieu from Fort Fairfield, Maine; Nate Tucker from Limestone, Maine; and Logan Moser from Hamilton, New Jersey.
Tylr Brown is a 6'1" athletic goal keeper who played for Tradition Preparatory High school in Port Saint Lucie Florida. He recorded five shutouts to go with 342 saves his senior season which earned team MVP and Player of the Year honors as well as gaining the respect of coaches from all over Florida. Brown's high school coach, Adam LeClair states "Tylr is a one-of-a-kind talent with reflexes that only the top tier athletes possess. His consistent performances last season had him ranked in the top 3 in the nation in total saves. His performances also earned him all-region and all-district recognition. Tylr will bring not only a positive attitude but a high energy enthusiasm to the Owls program." Brown plans to study nursing at UMPI. "I am very excited and eager to play at the next level, and I believe that UMPI will make a perfect fit for me. I can't wait to make connections that will last a lifetime both on and off the soccer field," Brown said.
Danny Argueta, an athletic wing forward from Las Vegas, Nevada will join the Owls roster after graduating and playing for the Las Vegas Wildcats High School. In his senior season, the team finished with an impressive 14-6-4 record in the Nevada 5a Southern Division III conference. Argueta also played club soccer for the Vegas Crew as well as the CM Mastro's during his soccer career. Argueta plans to study Biology/Pre-Med while at UMPI. "I am grateful for the opportunity to play college soccer and continue my development as both a student as well as a collegiate athlete," Argueta said.
Jake Beaulieu is a central defender from Fort Fairfield, Maine and joins the Owls team after a year away from the county. Beaulieu was a four-year starter for the Tigers who advanced all the way to the Class D Northern Maine Championship game in 2023, Beaulieu's senior season. According to Beaulieu's high school coach John Ala "Jake was an outstanding center back through his four-year career. His speed, athleticism and fearlessness on the field allowed him to cover a lot of ground defensively as well as consistently win 50/50 battles with opposing players. He will be a great addition to the Owls squad in 2025. Jake plans to study Pre-Pharmacy at UMPI. "I am excited about being able to play for UMPI and challenge myself to play at the collegiate level. I am also looking forward to playing with two of my old high school teammates again," Beaulieu said.
Nate Tucker, an athletic wing defender from Limestone, Maine joins the Owls after taking a number of years off to serve his country in the Army National guard. According to his former Coach Jon Hamilton, "Nate's hustle, toughness, and pride made him an outstanding leader for the Eagles while his quickness and ball skills allowed him to play any position on the field. Nate was selected Team Captain, Team MVP, and was an All Aroostook selection during his three seasons for the Eagles. I am looking forward to seeing Nate back on the field again this fall in an Owls uniform." Tucker will be studying Psychology at UMPI and plans to receive certificates in both Drug and Alcohol counseling. "I still have a lot left in the tank and I'm fired up to compete and contribute to the team in any way I can," Tucker said.
Logan Moser is a keeper/defender from Hamilton, New Jersey. He played for the Hamilton Fire Club soccer team for six years. During those six seasons, the club won four conference championships. Logan plans to study Exercise Science at UMPI. "I am very excited to continue playing soccer at the college level and to get to know the team. Go Owls!" Moser said.
Longtime Owls Men's Soccer Coach Alan Gordon is very excited about the addition of these five players to his 2025 roster and is confident that they can all step in and have an immediate impact on the success of the team. Coach Gordon also plans to announce the remaining recruits to join the 2025 roster in the next few weeks.
