Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

UMPI Host SUNY Morrisville in Cross Divisional Play

PRESQUE ISLE, MAINE – The Owls women's soccer team hosted North Atlantic Conference Cross Divisional opponent SUNY Morrisville. The Mustangs went on to take the win, 6-0 to bring the Owls to 0-5 in the NAC.
 
In the first half, the teams battled back and forth with the Mustangs scoring in the 19th minute of the game. Although they were able to get the only goal of the half, the Mustangs had just a slight lead in the attack, with eight shots to the Owls six. In the second half the Mustangs pressured the Owls, scoring five goals in the second half on 12 shots. They went on to shoot 20 shots, ten of which were on goal, to the Owls ten shots, six of which were on goal.
 
Alexis Ireland finished the game with five shots, two on goal. Teammate Kourtney West finished the game with three shots and two also on goal. Marissa Havey was in goal for UMPI, finishing with three saves.
