Owls Land 4 Seed in NAC Playoffs

UMPI's 4-1 NAC Run to End the Year Secures Playoff Spot

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine – The Owls secure the 4th seed in the 2023 North Atlantic Conference Playoffs. A 4-1 NAC run to finish the regular season secures the four seed. UMPI finished their regular season with a 10-16 overall record and 5-5 in the NAC.
 
The Owls tough non-conference schedule early in the season was followed by a 6-0 run once later in the conference play. This run included a 3-2 victory over second seed Husson University, along with two more NAC wins in that stretch. UMPI's Vermont trip this last weekend ended in a 2-2 split with the Vermont State University schools. Sweeping the Hornets of Lyndon to secure their playoff spot, but later falling to the Badgers of Johnson in their doubleheader as the Badgers secured the third seed.
 
Maine Maritime Academy will host the Owls as the secured the number one seed with a 10-0 NAC record. The Owls will face off against the Mariners in the NAC East Quarter Finals in Castine, Maine.
 
 
November 4th at 1:00 PM the Owls will take on the Mariners of MMA
