Owls Men's Soccer Fall to Eagles

PRESQUE ISLE, ME – The UMPI Owls Men's Soccer team traveled to Bangor, Maine to compete in a North Atlantic Conference match up against Husson University. The Eagles sit 4-0-1 in the NAC after the win vs the Owls, 6-0. The Owls now sit 2-3 in the conference and 2-5-2 on the year.

The Eagles took control of the game early with a goal in the 5th minute of the game. Later scoring two more goals in the first half. The Eagles led the Owls in shots in the first half with 14 to the Owls seven, while pressuring UMPI with eight corner kicks to the Owls two. Maintaining pressure in the second half, the Eagles had 13 shots and held the Owls to zero, as the Eagles scored three more goals.

Xavier McAtee started in goal for the Owls, finishing the game with eight saves. Kobe West played for the final six minutes of the game and added three saves.
The Owls will continue their weekend, heading south to Fisher College to play the non-conference game in Boston, Mass.
