Bangor, ME — The Owls women's basketball team took on North Atlantic Conference opponent Husson University in their first day of their two day double header. The Eagles walked away with a 90-51 win after a big second half performance. 

Hunter Mercier (So. Fairfield, ME) led the Owls in the first half with 11 points off 4-5 from the field and 3-4 from three. UMPI was very aggressive in the half as they were a perfect 8-8 from the free-throw line. 

Mercier stayed hot in the second half with nine more points off of three 3's. The Eagles offense was too much for the Owls, as they shot over 60% from the field in the half and 44% from three. 

Mercier finished with 20 points while shooting 7-12 from the field and 6-10 from three. Sarah Musselman (So. Turlock, CA) finished with ten points. 

The Owls will play their second game vs Husson tomorrow Saturday the 11th at 1:00 PM.
