RANDOULPH CENTER, VT – The University of Maine at Presque Isle Owls (2-12) weren't able to keep pace with the SUNY Canton Kangaroos (4-7) in the second day of the Vermont Tech Winter Classic.  The Roos would jump out to a big lead, and steadily build it throughout the afternoon to take a 74-55 victory.

SUNY Canton would jump out to a 20-9 lead after the first quarter, and the Owls would never close the gap.  UMPI, coming off of a strong shooting performance the night before, would be cold from the floor, shooting just 25% from the floor in the first half.  Things wouldn't improve much, and the Roos would comfortably cruise to the 19 point victory.  The Owls would turn the ball over 19 times and be outrebounded 43-36. 

Caseylynn Fulton (SR, St. Cloud, MN) would lead all scorers with 23 points and add 8 rebounds.  Tatian Laroche (SO, Emont, NY) would add twelve points and 11 rebounds off the bench.  The Owls would be led offensively by Amanda Hotham (JR, Fort Fairfield, ME), who would net 11 points, grab seven rebounds, and be credited with four assists.
