UMPI Falls to #1 ranked CMCC

Box Score

Auburn, Maine --  The Maine-Presque Isle men could not overcome poor shooting and the pressure defense of Central Maine Community College, losing 126-71 on the road Saturday.

Central Maine scored the first 6 points of the game off of their pressure defense, but Presque Isle cut the first half lead to 12-6, with two Michael Warner foul shots at the 16:15 mark.  Back to back Thiago Conceicao layups would bring Presque Isle to within single digits of Central Maine, 20-13 with 14:25 left on the clock in the first stanza, but the Owls could not contain the powerful Mustang attack and would never cut the lead to single digits again in the game.

Central Maine (16-0) is the #1 ranked USCAA team in America and leads the nation in scoring at 97.2ppg.
