* The Owls' have four players averaging double figures in points in the early season. Patrick Manifold (14.7), Claude Louis (14.0), Aaron Hutchins (13.7), and Michael Warner (12.3).

* In the Owls' previous game vs. SMCC, Aaron Hutchins scored a game high 30 points, Michael Warner added 21 and Patrick Manifold dropped in 14 points while pulling down 11 rebounds.

* The Clippers were lead by Floyd Higgins in their first win of the season scoring 22 points over UMaine- Fort Kent. 

* UMM was picked to finish 4th out of the 13 teams in the Yankee Small College Conference.
