The2011 season will be the Owls' 2nd under head coachJayBeaulieu.  Originally from Vernon, Connecticut, Beaulieugraduated from Rockville High School in 1996, where he was athree-year varsity football player. Following graduation, Jayattended Rivier College in Nashua, NH, a Division III University,and walked onto the men's volleyball team. Starting out as aback-row specialist during his freshman year, Jay became thestarting setter the following season and eventually captainedthe team as a junior; Beaulieu did not play his final season due tothe demands and his dedication to student-teaching.

Jaywas fortunate to have played under Coach Craig Koleck, who is stillat Rivier and currently in his 14th season. Coach Koleck has builtthe Raider program into a New England powerhouse in men's DivisionIII Volleyball, accumulating a 246-146 career record. His Raiderteam has won six New England Division titles and two ECAC NorthChampionships, which is a New England record. Coach Koleck hasearned AVCA National Coach of the Year awards, as well as, NewEngland recognition.

Graduatingwith a BA in Art Education in 2000, Jay quickly began working as anArt Teacher at Central High School in Manchester, NH, where hespent seven years. He began his coaching career at CHS as thefive-year head coach of the JV girls volleyball team. He then movedacross town to rival school, West High, and spent one season as thehead coach of the girls varsity volleyball team. Having recentlyrelocated to Aroostook County in 2008, Jay was hired at Circle ofLearning, where he specifically works with pre-school aged childrenwith special needs. Beaulieu is currently taking courses at UMPIand is working toward a teaching certification in physicaleducation.

Jaycurrently resides in Caribou, ME.  He enjoys spending timewith his seven-year old son, Caleb.
