Ricky Goupille was hired in 2024 to succeed Mark Knight in the role of Sports Information Director.
Goupille was a 2024 graduate of UMPI and a two-sport athlete for the Owls playing baseball and golf. In his senior season, he was named to the NAC second-team after batting .307. He forwent his fourth and final year of eligibility for Baseball to pursue a career within the UMPI Athletics Department beginning in August of 2024.
In his first two years, he has handled all things Sports Information related, maintaining UMPI's website, social media, statistics and more for all 12 varsity sports. He has also revamped UMPI livestreams of home games on YouTube, providing a clean and reliable production for all UMPI fans. Advanced streams are now fit with live statistical graphics, instant replays, and live play by play commentary.
Upon Coach Alan Gordon's retirement, Goupille was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director - Compliance & Sports Information, and will assume all NCAA Compliance duties going forward.
