Owls Place Fourth in Husson Harrier Invitational

Bangor, ME – The UMPI women's cross country team traveled to Husson to compete in the Husson Harrier Invitational. The Owls placed fourth (106) of the five scoring teams in the 5K race. Colby College once the invitational with a total score of 38 points. Katelyn Osborne (Mount Desert Island, ME) finished eighth overall leading the Owls runners with a time of 22:33.1.

Felix Norkin (Denmark, ME) was the second Owls runner to finish with a 18th place, 24:15.3 time in the 5K. Annaset Jackson (Wilton, ME) then finished 27th overall and scoring 24 points for UMPI, as she finished with a time of 26:05.4. Kailee Sprague (North Berwick, ME) was the Next Owls runner to finish with a 40th place finish in a time of 30:58, while Elizabeth Bitar (Percy, ME) rounded out the Owls score with a 41st place finish and a time of 31:05.

The Owls next race will be held at Bates College in the Maine State Championships on October 2nd.
