Presque Isle, ME – The UMPI Owls softball team adds another recruit for the fall of 2022. Hannah Hall from Mcfarland, Wisconsin joins the Owls family as a Biology Pre-Med major. Hall is ready to join the team, "I am very excited to continue my athletic career at UMPI with Coach Edwards and the amazing girls on the team. I'm so thankful to be on the team and can't wait to get started!" Said Hall, when asked about her decision to commit to UMPI.
Hall played shortstop and third base for Mcfarland High School, as she not only thrived on the defensive end she also put up an impressive .400 batting average. Tim Ruesch, Hannah's coach spoke very highly of her ability on the field. "Hannah is an extremely versatile and intelligent athlete, capable of playing all positions on the field. At the plate, she has power beyond her size, very good bad ball hitter." Ruesch continued, "She is a smart base runner that puts the team above individual accomplishments. Hannah is going to flourish under the coaching of Coach Edwards!"
UMPI head softball coach, Alissa Edwards spoke on how she is excited to have Hall on the team next fall. "I am super excited to have Hannah come join our family here in Maine next fall. Hannah is a very impressive young woman that will make for a great addition to our team. She is a true utility player, able to play almost anywhere on the field and has speed that will definitely help us out on the bases. I'm looking forward to getting to work more with Hannah on and off the field."
