Presque Isle, ME – The University of Maine at Presque Isle men's basketball team is proud to announce the addition of Isaiah Morales to the 2021-22 roster. The senior guard is from Haverhill, Massachusetts before moving to Van Buren, Maine for his last two years of high school.
In the recent two years, at Van Buren, Morales averaged 18 points as a junior, while leading his team to the Class D North Quarter Final game. In this past season averaging 20 points and 10 assists per game as a senior, Morales led the Crusdars it to the Class D Aroostook County Championship Game. Isaiah spoke about his coaches throughout his playing years, "I have had many good coaches throughout the years playing basketball that have helped me become a better player. But, my dad has been my greatest influence." said Morales.
Head Coach at UMPI, Dan Kane, spoke about Morales talent, "Isaiah is a quick guard that can score but also sees the floor very well. His unselfish play will fit well with our team dynamics." Once again, the Owls are able to land another one of the top players in Aroostook County.
Morales will attend UMPI in the fall semester of 2021, where he will major in Biology. Morales spoke about attending UMPI, "I am excited about being an Owl and being a positive representation of this school." With the season just finishing, these Owls are looking forward to beginning their 2021-22 season with all additions to the roster.
