NCAA Compliance
The University of Maine at Presque Isle is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division III level and abides by NCAA rules and regulations in all aspects of its athletics program.
To be eligible to participate in intercollegiate athletics, student-athletes must be both academically and athletically eligible under NCAA rules and regulations. Every student-athlete who wishes to participate in intercollegiate athletics must undergo an annual University pre-participation physical examination prior to beginning any physical activity (NCAA Div. III bylaw 17.1.6.4). Student-athlete must also attend an annual NCAA compliance meeting, signing all applicable NCAA and University required documents before athletic competition (NCAA Div. III bylaws 14.1.3 and 14.1)
