PRESQUE ISLE, ME
On Monday the North Atlantic Conference released the all-academic teams for Winter & Spring Athletes. The Owls were well represented as 38 athletes found their names on the list.
To qualify for the NAC All-Academic Team, each student-athlete must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, and be an active member of a sports team. The NAC releases two teams. One for the fall sports season, and one for the winter & spring sports seasons.
UMPI's 33 athletes to make the list was the fifth most for a school in the conference.
For this semester's All-Academic Team, six UMPI sports teams were represented: Men's and Women's Basketball, Baseball, Softball, and Men's and Women's Track & Field.
