Owls Celebrate Senior Day ay Home Field

PRESQUE ISLE, MAINE – The Owls celebrated senior day at their home field vs the Husson University Eagles. The North Atlantic Conference match up consisted of one NAC game and one non-conference match up. The Owls would fall in both games, 0-12. Reagan Calvin and Emily Blauvelt were celebrated in their final games as Owls.

In the first game, McKenna Smith pitched a perfect game on the mound for the Eagles, allowing no UMPI batters on base in the seven inning game, striking out 16 batters. Hailey Saylor and Mega Buchholz each had time on the mound for the Owls. The Owls were down five runs as they went into the seventh inning, where the Eagles put up seven runs in the final inning.

The second game consisted of just one inning for the Eagles, scoring all 12 of their runs in the third inning, coming of ten hits and four errors. The Owls finished the game with three hits and leaving five on base throughout the five inning game.
