Box Score Boston, MA – For the first time in school history the Fisher College Falcons defeated the University of Maine – Presque Isle, 4-2, Saturday afternoon in front of a record crowd at Hormel Stadium.
Trailing only 1-0 at halftime, the Owls allowed two more Falcon goals before Senior Jasmine Cote tallied her first career goal at 64:03.
Falcon Julia Schojan would score a goal at the 82 minute mark to give Fisher a 4-1 advantage before Owl sophomore Mikaelah Tracy added a final goal to the scoreboard with 2:52 remaining in the match. The Schojan goal was her 30th goal for the season, which leads the NAIA in individual goal scoring by a 10-goal margin.
Fisher outshot the visitors 25-15, and Paige Ciavarro made seven saves for earn the victory in net. Owl keeper Allison Lopez made 12 saves on the day.
The victory improves Fisher to 9-8 on the season and ensures the Falcons a .500 or better record for the first time in program history. The Owls move to 3-8.
