Canton, NY (10-1-11) -- Cold, rain, and windy conditions in Canton, NY did not stop the University of Maine-Presque Isle women's soccer team from notching a second straight win over the Roos from SUNY-Canton on Saturday.  After a 5-1 blowout win on Friday, the Owls built a two goal lead on Saturday and then held on for a 2-1 victory.

In the Friday matchup, SUNY Canton could not find an answer for UMPI's Lainey Herring (Jr./Houlton, ME), as she connected for four of the Owls five goals Friday night defeating the Roos 5-1.  Audra Kirk (Fr./Limestone, ME) was the only other Owl to score a goal in the game.

With the wins, UMPI improves its record to 5-4 on the season.

They will play again next Saturday, October 8th when Fisher College visits Presque Isle.  Game time is set for 1:00pm.
