The University of Maine at Presque Isle men's and women's basketball teams have their season openers tonight, Friday, November 20, as both teams head to tip-off tournaments.

The Lady Owls open up their season against the Beavers of the University of Maine at Farmington this evening at 7:30 pm, in the second game of the Dunkin Donuts Tip-Off Tournament in Farmington, ME.  This is the third consecutive year that the Owls play their first two games at Umaine Farmington.  On Saturday, the Owls will face either USM or Curry College in a 1:00pm/3:00pm game.

The Owl men travel to Henniker, NH to take on host New England College in a 7:00 pm game.  On Saturday, UMPI will look to take on Suffolk University in a 1:00 pm match-up at the same tournament.
