Standish, ME – The University of Maine at Presque Isle Owls women's cross country team traveled to Saint Joseph College of Maine to compete in their Runnin' Monks Invitational. The team finished eighth, led by Shelby Shea (Fy. Springfield, ME), finishing the 6K race in a time of 28:57, earning a 44th place finish.
Kendra Silvers (Jr. North Berwick, ME) was right behind Shea, with a 46th place finish in a time of 29:00. The third UMPI runner finished 60th, Jayde Whitten (Fy. St. Albans, ME) in a time of 30:39. Annaset Jackson (Fy. Wilton, ME) finished with a time of 31:08 and Kaily Rich (Fy. Lebanon, ME) was the last UMPI scorer to finish with a time of 31:40 and a 70th place finish.
Hannah Harmon (Fy. Jackman, ME) and Rebecca Griffin (Jr. Hodgdon, ME) were the last two UMPI runners to cross the line. Harmon finished in 72nd with a time of 31:43, Griffin finished 88th in a time of 34:36.
UMPI heads to Bowdoin College in Brunswick, ME next on October 26th.
