Presque Isle, ME – The Owls women's Volleyball ends their Homecoming weekend with two more wins vs U-Maine Machias Clippers. UMPI took both Matches 3-0.

Match 1 (25-12, 25-8, 25-13)

Set 1 (25-12, UMPI): Taylor Miller (Jr. Weeki Wachee, FL) led the Owls early with three kills on three attempts in the first set, while Maddi Thweatt (Jr. Middleton, ID) had eight of her 12 digs in the first set.

Set 2 (25-8, UMPI): Miranda Washinawatok (Jr. Shawano, WI) finished the set with three kills on her four attempts. Libero Breanna Epperly (Fy. Belfast, ME) finished with four digs on the set.

Set 3 (25-13, UMPI): Ashlon Stroub (Jr. Bakersfield, CA) helped the Owls end the match with four of her seven service aces during the third set. Miller dominated at the net with five kills on seven attempts.

Match 1 summary: Miller finished with eight kills on ten attempts (80%), Hailey Kelly (Fy. Wells, ME) finished with 16 assists, Madison Exferd (Jr. Payette, ID) earned 12 assists. Thweat led the team with 12 of the teams 33 digs on the match.

Match 2 (25-6, 25-13, 25-5)

Set 1 (26-6): Isabella Fay (Fy. Belfast, ME) and Washinawatok both led the Owls at the net with three kills apiece in the first set. Stroub recorded another seven service aces just in the first set.

Set 2 (25-13): Roni Shaw (Jr. Payette, ID) led at the net with four kills on eight attempts, while the team had a total of eight digs on the match and five service aces.

Set 3 (25-5): The Owls ended the day with a statement win, led by Thweatt at the net with seven kills on ten attempts.

Match 2 summary: Thweatt lead all with ten kills on 18 attempts (56%), while also leading the Owls on the defensive end with five digs. Stroub ended with nine aces. Exferd finished with 19 assists on the match.

The Owls head to U-Maine at Fort Kent during the week on Wednesday the 2nd for two matches.
