Owls Fall in Both Matches in Southern Maine

Horham, ME – Women's Volleyball traveled to Southern Maine to play in two matches vs Western Connecticut  and U-Southern Maine. UMPI would lose both matches in three sets.

The tough Western Connecticut team totaled 33 kills in the three sets. The Owls fought hard but struggled at the net against the skilled Colonials team with 15 attack errors in the match. The Owls had 16 digs, led by Isabella Fay (Fy. Belfast, ME) with five digs.

The second match against the Huskies, the Owls increased their defensive energy with 33 digs throughout the match, led by Ashlon Stroub (Jr. Bakersfield, CA) with seven and Breanna Epperly (Fy. Reserve, LA) with six. Maddi Thweatt (Jr. Middleton, ID) led the Owls at the net with six kills.

The Owls will head home for their first home match against Unity College on Friday the 27th  at 5:00pm.
