(BANGOR, ME) -- In the first match of the day of the Husson Invitational, the host Eagles coasted past UMPI 25-2, 25-23, and 25-11. The Eagles were led by Hannah Olstad (Farmington, NH) who had eight kills to go along with two solo blocks. Aleta Johnson (Milton, NH) served up six aces and 14 assists in the three games, while Alex deHertogh (Cumberland, RI) was a force at the net with four solo blocks.
Randi Kaplan (So./Embden, ME) led the offense for the Owls with three kills and three assists.
Regis picked up two victories on the day as they toppled UMPI in three straight sets, led again by Vanessa Noesi and Samantha Bliss (Framingham, MA) who contributed four and three kills respectively, while Beliveau dished out a team-high seven assists.
Leslie Theriault (So./Enfield, ME) has three kills on eight attempts to lead the Owls.
U-Maine Farmington picked up their lone victory on the day, defeating UMPI 25-8, 25-9, and 25-9.
Jen Vadnais (Arundel, ME) and Jordan Hohman (Naples, ME) each put four kills away to lead the Beavers, while Bridget Flaherty (Plymouth, MA) put up a team-high 20 assists.
Theriault again led the Owls offense with two kills, while Kaplan had two assists to go along with two digs.
