The University of Maine at Presque Isle women competed in the Small College Invitational hosted by Thomas College at the Colby College facility on Sunday. The Owls scored 11 points to finish eighth of the nine teams attending. School records were turned in by Irina Norkin (Denmark, ME) in both the 200m (32.52) and the 1500m (5:43.88) and by Liz Ward in the 100m (15.90). Marge Dickinson also set school marks in the discus (23.15m/75-11) and the shot put (8.25m/ 27-01). Setting personal bests on the day were Ward (Lisbon falls, ME) in the discus (20.58m/67-6) and the javelin (21.20m/69-7). Jenny Sanborn in the 200m (38.77), Rebecca Griffin in the 800m (3:18.66), Ashley Morton in the 800m (3:14.27), and Dianna Poulin in the discus (15.28/50-01) and the javelin (15.81/51-10).
