Presque Isle, ME – The UMPI Owls women's soccer team hosted Aroostook Country opponent University of Maine at Fort Kent in a neutral site. The Owls played at Gerig Johnson Complex at the Presque Isle Middle School, a beautiful turf field to help the Owls prepare for their North Atlantic Conference match this following weekend. The Owls would lose to UMFK 4-0 in their final game of the season, as they finished 7-7 on the year.
The Bengals maintained possession for the majority of the match as they finished the game with 24 shots, 16 on goal, compared to the Owls four shots and three on goal. All of which came in the second half of the game. The goals came in the 51st, 60th, 65th, and 75th minutes of the game, each of which were unassisted.
The Owls will prepare for their first North Atlantic Conference playoff game, next weekend. Maine Maritime Academy will host, as they will be the Owls first opponents in the NAC East Semifinals. Full playoff schedule will be available shortly.
