Nashua, NH – The UMPI Owls women's soccer team traveled to New Hampshire to play in a non-conference match vs Fisher College, out of Boston, Massachusetts. The Owls came away with a victory, completing the weekend sweep with another 1-0 win.
It was first year Sage Dubay (Caribou, ME) in goal for the Owls as she earned her first complete game, saving all four of the Falcons shots on goal. Not only did the Owls hold the Falcons to only four shots, they controlled the game on the offensive end with 26 total shots, 12 being on goal.
It was first year defender Rhylee Kinney (Presque Isle, ME) who scored the goal for the Owls in the 56th minute, assisted by Hannah Rossignol (Madawaska, ME). It was Kinney's second goal on the year, while Rossignol recorded her second assist of the year.
The Owls will head home to Presque Isle, to host their final two regular season games. The Owls will host North Atlantic Conference opponents Northern Vermont University-Lyndon in a big late season match which will help decide a NAC playoff advancement by either team. This match up will take place on Saturday the 23rd at 1:00PM.
