Cazenovia, NY – The UMPI Owls women's soccer team traveled to New York for their first North Atlantic Conference divisional crossover vs Cazenovia College Wildcats. The tight game finished with a 1-0 victory for the Wildcats, scoring the only goal in the early minutes of the second half. The back and forth game finished 13 shots to 12 in favor of the Wildcats.
With Savannah Rodriguez (Presque Isle, ME) in goal, the Owls came out with a strong offense giving them an early three shot attempts in the first 12 minutes of the game. The Wildcats regained slight control in the remaining first half as they were able to record seven shots opposed to the Owls four.
Alexis Ireland (Howland, ME) led the Owls on the offensive end with five shots and two shots on goal. Dimetria McIntyre led the Wildcats in shots with seven shots on the game, five shots on goal, and the game's only goal scorer.
