Owls Soccer Competes at Thomas

Waterville, ME – The UMPI Owls women's soccer team took on the host Thomas College Terriers on the cold rainy day. In the two teams second and only matches of the fall season ended with another Terrier win. This game ended 2-0, after a goal in each half.

 The Terriers came out of the gate firing with a goal in the 6-minute mark. The rest of the half was fairly even, with the shots being four (Thomas) to three (UMPI) after the goal was scored. The second half was very similar as the Terriers came out with an early goal. This time just 11 minutes into the second half.

The second half shots were even throughout the 45-minute period, each team with five. Madison Rock finished the game with the win the in the Thomas College goal. Malyssa Kubik (So.  Seymour, CT) finished the game with five saves in her 90 minutes in goal for the Owls.

The Owls have finished their fall season after this game vs Thomas. Congratulations to out Owls seniors in finishing their last game, Brianna Fenton (Saranac Lake, NY) and Emily Ward (Peterborough, NH).
