Delhi, NY – The University of Maine at Presque Isle women's soccer team fell on the road to SUNY-Delhi 4-1 on Saturday in a regular season North Athletic Conference matchup. The Broncos of SUNY-Delhi scored 23 seconds into the game and added three more goals in the first half to take a 4-0 at the break.
UMPI scored one goal at the 68-minute mark and held the Broncos scoreless in the second half. The Owls lone goal was scored by Hannah Nadeau (So. Madawaska, ME), assisted by Alexis Rodriguez (Fy. Caribou, ME). The Owls had eight shots on the game. Savannah Rodriguez (Fy. Presque Isle, ME) made eight saves on 12 shots on goal.
The Owls drop to 6-3-2 overall and 2-2-1 within conference play. Delhi improves to 6-5-1 overall and 3-2 within NAC play. UMPI is looking to get right back in action as they travel north to take on SUNY-Canton in another NAC showdown tomorrow at 3:30 PM.
