Johnson, VT – The University of Maine at Presque Isle women's soccer team moves to 2-1-1 in the North Atlantic Conference after today's win vs Northern Vermont University-Johnson. The Owls beat Johnson with a late game penalty kick by Hannah Nadeau (So. Madawaska, ME).
The Owls led both teams with shots in both halves with 17 on the game, and ten shots on goal. The Badgers finished the game with seven shots, four of which were on goal.
Both teams went back and forth throughout the game until the 83rd minute when Nadeau was fouled inside the 18. The Owls capitalized on the opportunity while Nadeau buried the ball in the back of the net to score the only goal on the day.
Savannah Rodriguez (Fy. Presque Isle, ME) spend the duration in the goal for the Owls, finishing with four saves in her fifth shut out game of the year.
