Presque Isle, ME -  The Thomas College Terriers (6-4) visited The University of Maine-Presque Isle Owls (0-9) today in a North Atlantic Conference women's soccer match-up played on the Park Family Field this afternoon. The Terriers speed up front was demonstrated early on and the guests were able to put 21 shots on goal in the first half. Senior Cassie Contigiani drove home 3 goals in the opening half, 2 on assists from midfielder Julia Smith, and teammates Sam Cleaves and Katherine Hoving each tallied a score.

UMPI was forced to play with out striker and leading scorer Jordi Legassie and struggled to get any offensive momentum going. The Owls did have a great scoring chance early in the game but Kelsey Robinson's (Fr. Atkinson, ME) shot in front sailed just over the crossbar. UMPI could only muster 1 more shot on goal in the first 45 minutes of the contest.

Thomas doubled up on their score in the second half scoring 5 more times as Smith scored at the 52:04 mark on a pass from Hoving and then Hoving would score her Conference leading 17th goal of the season unassisted. The Terriers tacked on 3 more goals for the 10 to 0 final.

In the net for UMPI, Keeper Casey Lovely (So. Easton, ME) faced 10 shots, turning away 5 of those attempts.  Alexis Levesque (Jr. Grand Isle, ME) had 4 saves in the second half. Thomas goalie Kayla Gordon, a senior from Wiscasset, Maine only had to make 1 save for the visitors.

Next up: UMPI will Host the Unity College Rams tomorrow, October 7th at 12:00PM.
